Hungarian Goulash

1 tablespoon olive oil
½ cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
⅓ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon cider vinegar
½ teaspoon brown sugar
1 ¼ teaspoons paprika
½ teaspoon ground mustard
Dash crushed red pepper flakes
1½ cups water
2 cups cooked lean roast beef cut into 1-inch pieces

1 tablespoon flour
2 tablespoons water

In a frying pan over medium high heat, cook onion and garlic in olive oil until tender. Meanwhile, combine ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, seasonings and 1 cups water. Add sauce and beef to skillet; cover and reduce heat and simmer for 15 20 minutes or until meat is tender. Just before serving, combine flour and water; stir into meat mixture. Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes. Serve over hot, cooked egg noodles.
