1 package yellow or devil’s food cake mix
½ cup water
2 eggs
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
2. Lightly grease a baking sheet with shortening or baking spray.
3. Prepare cake mix as directed on package, using ingredient amounts as stated above and omitting vegetable oil.
4. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto the greased baking sheet about 3 inches apart.
5. Sprinkle each cookie with a few chocolate chips.
6. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until almost no impression remains when a cookie is touched lightly.
7. Cool on baking sheet 1 minute, then transfer cookies to a wire cooling rack.
Yield: 36 cookies
